Several dozen veterans gathered in the brisk fall air at the VFW on Bellew Avenue to honor Americans who have served and sacrificed. Several speakers, including yours truly, addressed the crowd after wreaths were placed and taps was sounded.

Patriotic Essay Winners at VFW
Five young people won awards for their essays on patriotism. A separate service was held at the County Building and lunch was served at the VFW.
