OMG, that ethics probe of Rep. Bill Owens' 2011 trip to Taiwan is over and the congressman will not be sanctioned. Actually the matter was litigated in the 2012 election and no one seemed to care.
Really, if you are an accomplished local lawyer with a lovely wife and family who happens to end up a Member of Congress, so what if you get a trip to Taiwan ? I'd rather go to the real China and get my picture taken on the Wall, but if you want to see where sneakers and televisions are made, so be it.
I'd like to know where that IHOP is that Mr. Owens promised Crazy Ray. Can we have another ethics probe over that ?
