Post Election Council Meeting Features Agreement on Many But Not All Topics

Cleaning up the city code to eliminate obsolete regulations got a thumbs up from City Council as did a proposed transfer of a small piece of land behind the old Empsall's to aid in the redevelopment of the property now owned fully by Neighbors of Watertown.
A free-wheeling discussion on city park regulations and rules yielded some agreement on using recently proposed signs to better communicate basic rules. A discussion on closing hours was more robust but there seemed agreement there are no hours for the Fairgrounds and Whitewater Park and a later than current closing time at other parks including Thompson with a proviso there be better lighting. It wasn't fully resolved pending more public input, so we will see how it pans out.
It was such a meandering discussion, I will wait for the MSM to put it in perspective in the morning.
