That is why Rep. Bill Owens was so willing to sign on to the Upton Bill and put a bit of daylight between him and the President.
Remember, in 2012 while Mr. Owens was being reelected by a couple points, the President was winning the North Country by six points. As the White House becomes more anchor than buoy, one wonders whether either of the GOP hopefuls could really win.
