The Runner Up to be First Dog

  In looking for a dog to adopt, I checked into different sources, including a rescue service that led me to a canine foster parent in Penn Yan NY where I met Gazelle, a great dachshund mix.

 I seriously considered her but gave the pooch at the Jefferson County Pound a second chance at their November 3rd open house, and ended up going that route.
I would strongly recommend considering a pound or rescue dog if you are in the hunt.
