Toronto Mayor Rob Ford says he is going no where and will seek reelection next year despite a request by City Council to take a leave of absence.
Hizzoner has admitted to smoking crack and buying illegal drugs but he still has his supporters. The 44 year old flamboyant Ford was elected in a reaction to the city's downtown-centric, liberal elite and in office he has taken on the unions and developed a loyal following. That is being tested now but barring action by Queen's Park, he will stay put.
Meanwhile this week the mayor started selling bobbleheads of himself to raise money for charity. The first order of 700 sold out.
