WDT: Troopers Send a Message...Quit Bothering Us

I didn't catch this story earlier when I checked the WDT on line but noticed the headline on the newsstand today when I  went to have breakfast at Mo's Diner.  It's kind of an interesting story about something not covered in the State Police press releases.
If Mayor McDougall says its true, that's enough for me. Troopers staging a swoop into town ticketing frenzy to protest what they see as the lack of officers on the village PD.  The contention, unconfirmed by "official" sources, is that Troopers staged the protest against village residents because they end up responding to real police calls in Gouverneur rather than concentrate on the money-making ticket writing by which their careers are judged.
It's a little more edgy a story than what media usually reports on. More NYP than NYT.  That's OK, but a photo of the giant Lifesaver would have set the story off nicely.
     See what I mean.
