Jennings Takes Oath Promising Change

   With dozens of citizens, friends and the political class looking on, Watertown's newest Council member was sworn in at noon today. Stephen Jennings was given the oath by City Judge Catherine Palermo, as was incumbent Councilwoman Teresa Macaluso who was sworn in for a second term.
  

 

 

    In his remarks, Mr. Jennings called for creation of a city housing policy and a plan to rehabilitate blighted property. Ms. Macaluso called on citizens to support locally owned small business.

     The pair will join the other three members in their first meeting of the year next Monday.
