WDT: Vacant County Home Faces Demise

     Some old buildings become a cause celebre for those wanting to save it. Other old buildings don't have a friend at all once out of use.

      Whispering Pines on Coffeen Street will quietly face the wrecking ball this month and the spot its on will become a vacant lot waiting for some possible future use by Jefferson Community College.
       As long as it is to be abandoned, it's good to see such a prompt demolition.
