Once truly the Empire State, New York is to suffer another indignity soon, dropping to fourth place in population behind CA, TX and now FL.
The Sunshine State has been closing in for years and will pass NY very shortly if not already.
New York was once the nation's most populous state with 45 Congressional Districts. Now we have 27.
