   Smaller and smaller pockets of local residents are in the dark this Christmas afternoon. About a thousand homes were still out last night but that is down further. One person who lives near the Airport stopped in today and said his power came back Christmas morning.
    Those coping are well conditioned from the much harsher storm in 1998.
