Friday

While many are chattering about the Sheriff's election in 2014, there's an even higher dollar job up for grabs. Family Court Judge Richard Hunt's term ends and the back channel word is that four people are interested in a run. Three are Republicans, one a Democrat....Two are men...two women
On another judicial matter, a bill to designate two full time city judges in Watertown and other cities is now on the Governor's desk, but despite lobbying by the judiciary, it's unknown if Mr. Cuomo will sign it due to concerns over the selection process.
City Council has a full agenda for its final meeting of 2013 on Monday.  Among the items, fhe hiring of a civil service person, a first look at park rules signage and another discussion of Library security..
This afternoon, I have a wedding to perform. Haven't done one in a while, but I don't think anything has changed in the drill.
Tonight, I will attend a Christmas Party at the Italian American Club sponsored by city workers.
Wasn't it a great job at getting roads cleared so quickly last night. ?
