Old Winter Winter Buffets North Country With a Blanket of the White Stuff

Heavy lake effect snow moved into Watertown Thursday evening, quickly burying the city and leaving a morning commute sure to be challenging. The snow stopped before midnight.
For two days, we watched out friends to the south get the brunt of the snow off of Lake Ontario...Tonight Mother Nature set her sights on us with a vengeance.

It looks like we should get nearly a foot of fluffy snow, so be careful driving in it or trying to move it.
Cold weather is also on tap the next week or so....Looks like a white Christmas this year and a winter a little more harsh than recent ones.
