$1 coins: Unwanted, unloved and out of currency - CNN.com

   The poor one dollar coin....It has a lot of selling points including its cost to circulate versus the paper dollar....but, it stands rejected by the public...and that's what matters.
   

      I think the dollar coin may fall prey to the use of plastic for everything big and small.its too bad...the public needs to realize cash is king and we need not allow all transactions to occur without being monitored.
