    President Obama says the annual turkey pardoning is kind of like the fight-to-the-death competition to be spared from slaughter in the popular movie Hunger Games.

 That's true and that might be good reason for this real life spectacle to pass into history.
      It was the first President Bush that started the pardoning photo op....I wonder if they are really allowed to live, or it like the line about being able to keep your doctor and health plan.
