Siena Poll: Cuomo Job Approval Under Water, But He Beats All Challengers

Governor Cuomo is seeing his approval rating tumble in a new Siena poll but the Governor still beats all comers when voters are asked who they would vote for in 2014.
Ultimately, that's the problem. In NY the playing field so favors a Democrat, even a bumpy stretch for the incumbent doesn't pose a serious threat and potential challengers may still be hesitant.
Westchester County Executive Rob Astorino is being mentioned most often as a foe following his easy reelection in that crucial suburban county.
A Democrat can win statewide by carrying less than a dozen of New York's 62 counties. Governor Cuomo is still the overwhelming favorite for next year, but his margin may be smaller than he would like.
