After months of wondering in the world of the judiciary, Governor Cuomo signed a bill passed last spring to increase the number of municipal judges the state, including in Watertown where the part time judge position becomes full time on April 1, 2014.

The addition will require some office renovations in our City Court on the first floor of City Hall. Officials of the Fifth Judicial District will outline their needs in the weeks to come.
Local judges and their staffs are employees of the Office of Court Administration and in the Fifth District, things are run by Judge James Tormey.
