At the Chamber function tonight, there was some fussing over the mistaken headline in this morning's paper identifying Carolyn Fitzpatrick as Carolyn Fitzgerald.
I am sure the copy editor feels terrible so I am not one to pile on as mistakes happen. A call to the chairperson would be in order and an in-print correction. People love contrition.
To tell you the truth, I didn't notice the headline this AM. There are other aspects of local journalism I have had issue to quarrel with over the years, but certainly not an honest error like this.
